“How do I take this stuff?” Methods of consumption are typically the next questions that people have about Kratom, following dosage and frequency concerns. Full disclosure: If you haven’t tried it yet, be warned that Kratom does not taste good. Things that are good for you rarely do. One of the Universe’s practical jokes. Kratom can be mixed or blended with any number of different beverages or foods, but the inherent bitterness insistently inundates and overpowers anything you add it to. Therefore, after much experimentation, we recommend chasing Kratom mixed in pure water with the beverage of your choice.


Unfortunately, there is just no effective way that we know of to make it more palatable. The tried-and-true “toss and wash” method (sometimes known as the “choke and gag” method) remains the “best” method, as grueling as it may be. Try not to focus on the bitterness - Focus on the positive results that enduring the bitter taste brings, and it will lessen over time. As with anything else, with continued use, eventually you “get used to it”. Another trick is to hold your nose as you drink it, so as to curtail your olfactory taste receptors. While this doesn’t absolutely guarantee ease of ingestion, it may help. Kratom capsules are one way to avoid the taste, but the results are never quite as immediate or as strong as when taking raw Kratom in its powdered form, mixed with pure water. Here’s a list of ideas for potential chasers, the ‘sugar that makes the medicine go down’, both liquid and solid: 1 Coffee (Hot or iced) 2 Tea (Hot or iced) 3 Fruit juice (Note: Citric acid may even intensify alkaloid absorption and stimulate faster endorphin and dopamine release) 4 Fruit 5 Honey 6 Chocolate or candy 7 Frozen or plain yogurt 8 Ice cream

9 Fruit sorbet or popsicles 10 Cinnamon applesauce 11 Milks, flavored or plain 12 Soda 13 Fruit punch or Kool-Aid 14 Lemonade or Limeade 15 Smoothies 16 Bakery goods (Cookies, brownies, etc.) 17 Flavored waters (Carbonated, sparkling, or still) Keep in mind that the idea here is to quickly cut the bitterness with something that has a stronger, more pleasant flavor, whether sweet or savory, liquid or solid. Feel free to get creative. Note that if you do choose a solid food item chaser, be sure to keep the portion as small as possible so as to allow for an empty stomach during the absorption phase of the Kratom. This is the condition under which Kratom works best and fastest, and it will typically suppress your appetite for several hours.

“How much Kratom should I take?” Kratom dosage and frequency of use is the first question many have after deciding to give the benefits of Kratom a try. The short answer is that there is no right answer. The key to unlocking the perfect amount and frequency for you depends on you. The wisest method is to start out with a small amount – perhaps only a tablespoon, or the equivalent of 2 or 3 capsules – and see how it affects you. This amount may be all you need to “get it happening”. If you experience only vague results - or no results - then you may need to increase the amount until you do feel it, or consider trying a different strain. Many factors play a part in the effectiveness of Kratom, based on the amount you take: the type of strain, the origin, quality, and strength of the Kratom itself, as well as your own individual physiology, constitution, bodyweight, age, and chemical sensitivity. In effect, the dosage amount and frequency you end up taking will not be a generic across-the-board prescription, but the amount that you decide to take based upon your own research and experimentation. Keep in mind, though, that there is something called the proverbial “sweet spot” (or “sweet amount”, to be more accurate) that is based on the concept of ‘less is more’. Fear not - You cannot ‘O.D.’ on Kratom - but it would be unwise to try. The Rape’ Ritual

Before embarking on your rape’ journey, you must first clear your mind and center yourself in a calm environment. It is best to be outside, preferably in a secluded, natural setting, for full release. Keep in mind that rape’ is a powerful medicine, and beginners should start with an amount no larger than a pea, per nostril. The dosage and frequency of administration may be increased over time, based on continued individual experience, but this will vary from person to person, just as it varies from tribe to tribe. Intuition and experimentation must be employed, within reason, to gauge the correct amount and frequency of use for you. It all depends on the individual, what they are using rape’ for, what their specific spiritual intention is, whether it be a closer communion with nature, a personal vision quest, or alleviation of pain, anxiety, or depression, and so on.

There are 3 Methods of Administration:

1 Short, strong single bursts. These promote Clarity.

2 Long, strong single bursts. These promote Cleansing.

3 Long initial single bursts that end strong. These are employed for the Ultimate Meditative Effect and the deepest cleansing. This is also the most common method, referred to as ‘Huni Kuin’, used by shamans to enter the trance state during tribal ceremonies.


Always administer rape’ to both nostrils, and always to your left nostril first. This side represents death. The right nostril represents rebirth. Hold your breath gently immediately before each administration. Keep your eyes closed. Once the rape’ is administered to the left nostril, the right nostril should follow quickly. Afterward, meditation, quiet, and controlled breathing through the mouth should follow, for at least half an hour or longer. Embrace whatever initial pain or discomfort you may feel. Focus on it as positive and healing and its forcefulness will become more tolerable. Continue to concentrate meditatively, with pure intention and clear focus. If it becomes intolerable, then blow your nose, but know that this is a rejection of the experience and the beneficial effects will be significantly lessened.


Although intense, and possibly rather unpleasant at first, the benefits are worth enduring the temporary discomfort. Soon, active eliminations are likely to follow. Always keep your head forward and expel all forthcoming excess bodily fluids, saliva, phlegm, mucous, and potentially, vomit. Don’t force it out, just allow your body to purge itself on its own. Never swallow these fluids, as they are full of internal toxins, bacteria, and negative energy. Your body and spirit are cleansing themselves. Just breathe and let it happen. Don’t be embarrassed to let go. Refrain from blowing your nose for at least half an hour. Allow the rape’ to enter your bloodstream and continue breathing slowly, deeply, and steadily through your mouth, until it is tolerable to breathe through your nose once more. Once you do, you’ll find your sinuses, in particular, incredibly clear.


You may drink water or pure fruit juice to re-hydrate, but remain silent and seated, for the full half hour or more, and calmly allow the rape’ to do its work.
